Colleen Labella is a Los Angeles based director and producer. Upcoming: fml: How Carson McCullers Saved My Life at the University of San Diego. Recent directing credits include: Canyon for Center Theatre Group at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, a journey through minimalism at the Walt Disney Concert Hall featuring the LA Philharmonic, Lincoln 2020 at the Broadwater Theatre as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival, Toyer at the Hudson Theatre for the Polymath Theatre Company, MeetCute's Engineers Need Soap, and an LGBT retelling of Almost, Maine. Associate/assistant director credits include Geffen Playhouse, IAMA Theatre Company and Connecticut Repertory Theatre. Colleen is a member of IAMA Theatre Company. She holds her BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut and trained at Tisch's Experimental Theatre Wing at NYU, as well as Shakespeare's Globe in England. Colleen is also the Director of Development for Leslye Headland's production company, Shoot to Midnight. Projects in development include Star Wars: The Acolyte. Colleen focuses her work on women, collaborative storytelling, ensemble-based projects and the LGBT experience.
